About the Journal

Pro Tem is the Bilingual Newspaper of Glendon College. Founded in 1962, it is York University’s oldest student-run publication, and Ontario’s only bilingual newspaper.

At Pro Tem, we are committed towards trying new things. We pride ourselves on delivering reliable and accurate news reports that concern the campus, the city, the country, and the world.

As the newspaper of a college concentrated in the Liberal Arts, Pro Tem aspires to consistently provide a wide range of arts coverage. Our primary audience is the Glendon Student community and we work hard to keep students consistently well-informed. Representing Glendon College to the best of our ability is our main goal.

Glendon is also home to a large international student community, and calls the heart of Canada’s most multicultural city home. In such, Pro Tem consistently publishes writers of diverse nationalities and experience.

Pro Tem is an advocate of freedom of expression. Above all, we believe in the power of the student voice.
